Martial Arts Weapons
Karate has a rich history involving various traditional weapons. The weapons taught at Karate West include the bo staff, sai, tonfa, nunchaku, kama, cane, fan, and others.
These weapons add an exciting and dynamic element to martial arts training. Working with weapons challenges practitioners to master intricate techniques, enhances their physical coordination, and develops a deeper understanding of martial arts principles. The rhythmic, flowing movements and the satisfaction of skill progression make training with karate weapons an enjoyable and rewarding experience!
Prerequisite: Students attend weapons’ class as an add-on to martial arts classes. Students must be age 10 or older, orange belt or higher.
